My Story
Okay, so here's the thing about me — I was born and raised in Orange City, OC, and from the very first moment I could hold a crayon, I was sketching outfits.
I'm a Pumpkin Noodle through and through. Orange City is my home, my heart, and honestly the most awesome little city you've never heard of — yet. But I had bigger dreams. I always knew I was meant for the fashion runways and creative design, and nothing — not even a very slow-moving book process — was going to stop me.
My author finished writing my story over five years ago. FIVE YEARS. I spent a lot of that time sitting on my favorite bench in the park, waiting for her to just get it going. I almost knew every squirrel by name. Anyway, I think she procrastinates. But I decided I wasn't going to wait around anymore — so here I am, out and about in NYC, making connections, and building my brand before the book even hits shelves.
I'm a passionate designer, and my very first show — my debut at Fashion Week — is everything I have ever worked toward. Every stitch, every sketch, every late night with fabric swatches has been leading to this moment. And I can't wait to share it all with you.
A Sneak Peek from the Book
🥨 The Pretzel Incident
"You will NOT believe what my author just did to me. She finally finished writing a big scene where I am sitting in a fancy NYC office, waiting to meet with a top-tier fashion editor. Naturally, because I am out and about in the city, I bought myself a massive, delicious New York pretzel to pass the time."
But of course, my author has jokes. Just as I take the biggest, most giant bite of this pretzel, the secretary walks over and says, 'The editor will see you now.' Seriously? She couldn't have timed it better? Now I have to walk into the most important meeting of my life with a mouthful of mustard and pretzel dough.
I am starting to think my author puts me in these awkward situations on purpose just to see how I handle them. (Spoiler: I handle them fabulously. Obviously.)
